Robert “Bobby” Meaux, Sr., age 70 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Beloved husband of 17 years to Leanna Miquet Meaux by 2nd marriage and former husband of Marlene Rodrigue by 1st marriage. Son of the late Dudley John Meaux, Sr. and Martha Simpson Meaux. Father of Amy Elizabeth Meaux, Ryan Michael Meaux and the late Robert Meaux, Jr. Step father of Dana Boudreaux (Gerald) and Tara Allen (Brad). Grandfather of Jonathon Meaux, Carlee Meaux and Jamie Meaux. Step grandfather of Sophia Boudreaux, Blythe Boudreaux, Tristan Allen, Ava Allen and Ari Allen. Great Grandfather of Landon Meaux and Jevis Meaux. Brother of the late John Dudley Meaux, Jr. Uncle of Cherie Meaux and the late Santana Meaux. Bobby was born in Florida and resided in New Orleans. He was a former Gretna and Jefferson Police Officer. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Air Force. Bobby was a graduate of Loyola University. He retired from KLLM after 20 years and he belonged to the Million Mile Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
