Robert Reed was born August 2, 1941 in Franklin, LA. He departed from this life on
Wednesday, January 14, 2015 and entered into eternal rest with our Lord. Robert was
preceded in death by his parents Elnora Brown, Frank and Lou Ella Reed; Aunt and Uncle Vivian
and Lucious Reed; 4 sisters, Sedonia Reed, Lula Mae Harris, Lovinia Robertson and Ella Mae Reed; 5 brothers, James and Frank Reed, Samuel, Jerry and Clinton Comeaux; 1 son, Robert Reed, Jr.; Mother-in-law Janet Jefferson
and 2 Brothers-in-law, Christopher and Donald Jefferson. Robert leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Suzin Jefferson Reed; sons, Chris Reed (Ramona), Bishop James Reed (Lady Elect Kellie Reed) and Fredrick Reed; daughters, Tessia Williams, Celestine Steele, Cynthia Horne (Myrtis), Tina and Denise Reed, Montrese Tadlock
(Warrick), Phillina Brooks (Kendall); 3 sisters, Audrey Reed, Linda (Donald Ray) Buckner of Port
Authur, Texas and Wanda (Gary) Bailey of Oakland, California; 2 brothers George (Debra) Reed of
Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and Willie Ray Reed of Oakland, California. Roberts brothers and sisters
from Houston are Preston Reed (LEOLA), Sidney Reed (Mayola), Wilbert Reed (Ida), Albert Reed
(Betty), Johnnv Reed (Brenda), Bertha Gays, Ruberta Lang1an (James), Hester Reed, Lawrence
Reed, Lucious Reed, Joesph Reed and Junior Reed (Leanna). Robert is the grandfather of 40,
great grandfather of 12 and is also survived by host of neices and nephews, aunts and uncles. Robert was
baptized at First Mount Zion Baptist Church and later moved his membership to Mount Olive
Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Theordore Turner, Jr. Robert worked various jobs
at Ingalls Shipyard doing carpenter work and retired at DayBrooks Fisheries. Family and Friends of the
family are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Mount Olive
Baptist Church, 39752 Hwy 23, Boothville, LA 70038 at 1lam. Viewing will be from 9am to
10:45am. Interment will be in Cannon Cemetery, Nairn, LA. Funeral arrangements entrusted to MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expresswav, Harvey, LA 70058. Family and friends may view and sign the online guestbook at www.mothefunerals.com .
