Robert Hunter Ward

Robert “Bob” Hunter Ward passed away on Friday, March 10, 2011 at the age of 66. Beloved husband of 18 years to Sandra Robert Ward. Father of Robert Hunter Ward and wife Rhonda. Son of the late Elmer Spencer Ward and Dorothy Hunter Gilleland. Brother of William Spencer Ward, Thomas Spencer Ward and Patricia Ward Redinour. Grandfather of beloved pets, Jake and Jess. Bob was employed by Northrop Grumman (Avondale Shipyards) as a Quality Inspector for 22 years. He served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years. He was born in Pittsburg, PA and was a resident of Ama, LA for the past 22 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church, River Road, Ama, LA on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 9AM until 11AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church on Saturday at 11AM. Interment will be in St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Amanda Vupalla, Judy Pennison, RN and the staff of River Region Hospice for their care and love given during Bob’s time of illness.
