Robert Calvin Winn

Robert Calvin Winn III (Bobby), age 52, passed away at his home in Springfield on Wednesday evening, August 24th. Spending most of his life on either the East- or Westbank of Jefferson Parish, his home away from home was along the river at National Maintenance and Repair; chief duty being master machinist for over 30 years. Bobby cut his teeth on a cane pole back-of Westwego with pop, loved the outdoors, live music, Talladega Superspeedway, the Saints, fantasy football, traveling, but most of all - his children, grandchildren, and beloved fiancé. Bobby was big in life, family, and personality. His sense of humor made him an instant hit at parties, bar-b-ques, and crawfish boils. He was a do-it-right the first time kind of guy, never settling for good enough. The pride he took in his efforts were displayed in all endeavors in which he involved himself. He leaves behind a beloved fiancé Sue Barrouse, children April, Sean, Robert the 4th (Rob), Nikki; grandchildren Maycie, Daniel; siblings William (Suzanne), Luvenia (Joe), Jon (Glenda), Errol (Tammy), Sheryl, Patricia, Dotty, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his father Robert Calvin Winn Jr., step father William O'Berry, mother Dorothy Leblanc, brother Marshall and sister Donna. Also deeply mourning his passing, among many others, Grace Winn Schmitt, former wife Jackie B. Winn, and former mother-in-law Evelyn Boudreaux. Bobby also leaves behind his pooch Sammy, Red Sox tickets and a Maine lobster. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 2PM.
