June 20, 1927 – April 1, 2012
Robert “Whitey” Zatarain passed away on April 1, 2012. Whitey was 84 years of age and a longtime resident of Algiers & Gretna, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents Emile Sr. & Blanche Zatarain, brothers Emile Jr. and Herman H. Zatarain. He is survived by daughters Teri Zatarain Blevins, Jan Zatarain Clifton & husband Walter. Grandchildren Brandy Blevins, Mark Blevins Jr. & wife Amy. Great Granddaughters Taryn Blevins & Abigayle Blevins. Sister-in law Cleo Zatarain, cousins Dianne & Richard Ockman, Louis & Virginia Kinsinger.
Whitey served his country in the United States Navy. He later retired from Entergy (LP&L) after many years of dedicated service.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10 AM at Mothe’s Funeral Home, 1300 Valette Street, Algiers, LA 70114. The funeral service will follow at 11AM.
