Roberta Burchett DuPont on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Beloved wife of the late John C. DuPont for 62 years. Loving mother of John “Doug” (Joanne), Paul “Dennis” (Stacey), Anthony (Paula), Robert (Anita) DuPont and the late Rhonda DuPont. Grandmother of Doug, Allison, Terrell, Heidi, Dean, Keri, Corey, Alexandra, Alyssa and Robert. Great grandmother of Madison, Elizabeth, Henry, Lilly, Hannah, Bryce and Kaleigh. Sister of Joann Smith (Truette), Shannon Burchett (Katheryn) and the late Zane and Max Burchett. Daughter of the late Gladys Mae Campbell Burchett and Hampton Burl Burchett. Mrs. DuPont will be missed by a host of family and friends in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Virginia, Oklahoma and Kansas. She was a dedicated genealogist and was a charter member of the Westbank Genealogy Society since 1975. Mrs. DuPont was also a member and chairman of the constitution week for the Louisiana Chapter 6-030-LA National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapter 2631. Age, 82 yrs. A native of Paris, Texas and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 6 PM until 10 PM. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary Assumption Mausoleum (Cottonport Cemetery #2) Cottonport, LA on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 1 PM.
