Roberto Abel Gonzalez peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the age of 87. Beloved and loving husband of Maria Paiz Gonzalez for 63 years. Son of the late Abel Gonzalez and Dominga Sanchez Gonzalez. Loving and devoted father of Edna Gonzalez Moore (late Glenn P. Moore), Roberto Gonzalez, Jr., Luis R. Gonzalez and Gloria Karras (late John Karras). Beloved Grandfather of Patrick Moore, Nicholas Moore, Joshua Gonzalez, Jacob Gonzalez, Christian Gonzalez, Violetta Sim, Fotula Karras, Maria Karras and Ioanna Graver and Great Grandfather of Shaleigh Gonzalez, Aria Gonzalez, Julian Gonzalez, Ruby Rae Gonzalez, Oaklenn Moore, Lila Sim, Ella Sim, Georgia Graver and Alexa Graver. Roberto is the brother of Gina O’Connor (late Robert O’Connor). He was born in Managua, Nicaragua and was a resident of Marrero, Louisiana. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
