Rodney James Delhommer, Jr.

Rodney J. Delhommer, Jr. passed away on January 3, 2014 at the age of 63 years. Beloved husband of Debra VanderHeiden Delhommer. Father of Michelle Yvonne Delhommer, Autumn Elizabeth “Beth” Tagra (Rohin), Kevin Roy Coleman and Amber Marie Delhommer (James Falcon). Grandfather of Samantha, Dylan, Katelynn, Jonathan and Zane. Great-grandfather of Lilly. Brother of Linda Guidroz (Kevin Sr.) and Denise Gaspard (Reynold). Son of the late Elsie Plaisance Delhommer and Rodney James Delhommer, Sr. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Rodney served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He later worked for Regan Equipment for many years, worked for Valerus Compression and most recently, Exterran, Inc. He was an avid hunter and L.S.U. fan. Rodney served his community as a tireless volunteer with the Westwego Civic Assoc., Wego Fest and was most notably known for his talent as D.J. with his company, “Musical Memories”. Rodney was eager to lend a helping hand for his community or for someone in need. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
