Roland “RoRo” Dwayne Belew went to his final riding place on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the age of 60 after a courageous fight with cancer. He lived in Belle Chasse, La with the love of his life, his wife, Karen O’Keefe Belew of 39 years. He was the father to his daughter, Bridget Belew and son, Blaine Belew and future daughter in law, Hunter Wilson. He was the best “RoRo” to his grandchildren, Elliana Belew and Brantley Belew. Roland was the son of the late Donnie William Belew and Nancy Jo Garretson Belew. He was a brother to Ronald Trusler, Brenda Belew Pace, Julia Shari Baber, and Billie Jo Belew.
Roland was a Lead Shift Operator at Kinder Morgan in Harvey where he was employed for over 20 years.
Roland was a huge family man who loved his family and his country (Pro Trump/Anti Vax). He was a proud American and flew his American flag proudly.
Roland was a lifelong Sportsman with over 35 years in the Plaquemines Parish Hunting Club where he became Vice President. Roland was a member of MAC (Motorcycle Awareness Campaign) and worked promoting and educating the dangers the motorcyclists face. He was the Road Captain of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club Chapter One. He was a very proud Red Knight and enjoyed participating in poker runs and fundraisers to help others in need. Many may know him as coach Roland, where he coached countless years alongside his children.
Roland made an impact on everyone he came in contact with. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends including his Blue Tick Coonhound, Harley Jane. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Red Knight Motorcycle Club La 1 or to the Jerusalem Shriners in honor of his granddaughter, Elliana Belew.
After the service, all who are on two wheels, we would like to alert heaven with one last rev to let God know Roland is on his way.
