Roland Anthony Camardelle

 Roland Anthony Camardelle, better known as “Pops” by his 15 grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the age of 82. He was born on September 16, 1942 to the late Edward “Bay” Camardelle and the late Clotilde Camardelle of Westwego, Louisiana. He was the brother of the late Edward Camardelle Jr.(Gloria), Ellis Camardelle(Valerie), Daisy Camardelle Hebert(Eddie), Randel Camardelle(Cindy), Rosetta Camardelle Bonvilian(Bobby), Davis Dominique(Meldonia), the late Nelson Camardelle, the late Archie Camardelle(Caroline), the late Noah Dominique, and the late Sam John Dominique(Jeannie). He was married to the late Brenda Plaisance and together they had 3 children, Wanda Camardelle, Debra Camardelle, Jody Camardelle(April). He later married Priscilla Camardelle and they spent his last 52 years together, where he welcomed her 5 children, Jeffrey Mays(Minda), Russell “Rusty” Mays(Betsy), the late Christopher Mays, Mary Mays, and Anthony “Tony” Mays. He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He spent most of his professional life as a sandblaster/painter and crab fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, listening to swamp pop, and watching old westerns. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
