Ronald Joseph Danos passed away at his home on July 19, 2017, after a very brief illness. He was born in Cut Off, Louisiana, on December 4, 1935, to Duval Paul Danos and Edia Melancon Danos. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Lou Waggoner, and an infant son, Evan Wylie Danos. He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, John Danos (Kelley) of Portland, Maine; daughter, Deirdre Ransavage (Eric) and two granddaughters, Katherine and Paige Ransavage of Encinitas, California. He is also survived by two sisters, Lois Becnel (Robert) and Joyce Rouchon (Marius) as well as a sister-in-law, Sarah Harper and numerous nephews and nieces.
Ronald graduated from Loyola University with a degree in accounting and spent the next fifty years practicing that profession. He retired as a member of the Board of Directors and treasurer of Krebs, LaSalle, and Lemieux Consultants, Inc. He was an ardent gardener and diehard sports fan of LSU, the Saints, and the New York Yankees.
