Ronald J. “Big Kahuna” Galarza passed away peacefully on August 5, 2016 at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband of 49 years to Judy Johnson Galarza. Father of Troy Galarza and Sherri Galarza Swanson. Grandfather of Kyle Legendre, Gage Swanson, Cody Swanson, Toby Wiley, Jesse Boggan, Emily Boggan and Meghan Galarza. Great-grandfather of Clay, Aryan, Matthew and Chloe. Brother of the late Joe Hamburger. Son of the late Roland Jourdan and Edna Pitre. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ronald was owner of Top Dollar Pawn Shop in Gretna for over 30 years. He was Past Master of William D. White Lodge No. 408 F & AM in Gretna, Past Potentate of Jerusalem Temple Shrine, New Orleans in 1997, Past President of Oriental Band and was a longtime member of Royal Order of Jesters, New Orleans Court #36.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 5 PM to 9 PM. Masonic Services will be held for 7:30 PM.
