Ronald "Ronnie" Martin Sr.

Ronald "Ronnie" Anthony Martin, Sr. passed away suddenly on September 13, 2015. Beloved husband of Angelle Gauthreaux Martin for 42 years. Son of the late Ray Martin & Ruby Dominick Martin. Brother of the late Ray Martin, Jr. Son-in-law of the late Hubert & Joyce Gauthreaux. Father of Amy Martin Levet (Craig), Nicole Martin Disotell (Jr.), and the best for last Ronald Anthony Martin, Jr. “Rocky” (April). Grandfather of Craig Levet, Jr. “Patrick”, Chloe’, Hannah, and Kali Disotell, and Cael Martin. Age 63 years and lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. He was a graduate of West Jeff High School class of ’70, and then worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Tulane University, as well as a Tax Professional at H&R Block. He was a former Parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and current Parishioner of Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church in Marrero. In his spare time he enjoyed being a magician, a balloon artist, and an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints football team.
Relatives and Friends of the Family, also employees of Tulane University, Tulane Medical School, Hebert Center and all affiliates, H&R Block, Jefferson Parish Public School System, ADS Systems, PPG Paints, and Lafayette Parish Public School System are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 1:30 PM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 PM until 11 PM and on Saturday morning from 8 AM until 1:30 PM.
