Ronald Apollo “Polo” Sperier, Sr., October 25, 1927- September 6, 2012. Lifelong resident of Algiers Point, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 6, 2012. He was 84 years old. Preceded in death by his parents, Nita and Arthur Sperier. Loving husband of Jacqueline DiLella Sperier. Father of Susan Klemmer (Mark), Ronald A. Sperier, Jr., Debra Ordoyne (David), Patricia A. Sperier, Virginia Jaramillo (Jairo) and Arthur Sperier, III (Marsha). Also survived by eight grandchildren: Nathan Henderson, Patrick, Elliot and Christian Ordoyne, Emily Klemmer, Elizabeth Jaramillo, Camille and Eleanor Sperier. He was a veteran of WWII, an active member of the Santa Maria Council 1742 Knights of Columbus, The American Legion, Post 218 and a lifelong parishioner of Holy Name of Mary Church, Algiers Point, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Holy Name of Mary Church, 500 Eliza St. Algiers, LA on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment in St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Algiers, LA. Visitation will be at church from 9AM until funeral time.
