Rory Marse

Rory J. Marse of Marrero, LA entered peacefully into eternal rest on December 9,2023 at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Iris Theriot Marse for 46 years. Loving father of Nicholas Marse (Cindy Kay-Marse).  Son of the late Regis J. Marse, Sr. and Dennie Rome Marse-Powdrill. Son in law of the late Leonson and Evelyn Theriot. Proud grandfather of Mason Pruitt and Arianna Kay. Brother of Cindy Schouest (Hagan), Denny Marse, Chris Marse, and the late Regis Marse, Jr. and Jan Marse. He was loved by a host of nieces and nephews that will miss their Uncle Ro. Rory was the owner and operator of Regis Radiator Service, Inc. His father began the business in 1962, and Rory expanded the shop and made it what it is today. Always striving to make it better and more successful for our employees and customers. Now his son Nick will be the third generation to carry on the Regis legacy. Rory had a passion for bass fishing, hunting, and in his younger years, softball. After every game there was a meal prepared for the team by Rory. The table would be cleared and a lively game of Bourre was played. The men he fished, hunted, and played softball with became a “Band of Brothers from Other Mothers.” He also had the same group of friends, (Brothers) that have remained friends since the first grade. The family would like to thank the ER and CCU departments of West Jefferson Medical Center for the loving kindness, and caring compassion they provided to Rory and his family and friends. A memorial visitation will be held for Rory at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 LAPALCO BLVD., in Marrero, LA on Tuesday, December 19,2023 starting at 11:30AM until 1:30PM.
