Rosary Rita "Sister" Marchese

Rosary Rita Marchese, a native and lifelong resident of Gretna, LA died Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Beloved daughter of the late Salvadore “Sam” Marchese, Sr. and Margaret “Maggie” Panepinto Marchese. Beloved sister of Agnes “Peachy” Marchese, Margaret Marchese Laughlin, the late Anthony “Don”, Frank “Bing”, Salvadore, Jr. “Sammy”, John Lloyd, Alvin and John Roland Marchese. Sister-in-law of Nola Marchese, Donald Laughlin and Sylvia Marchese. Dearly loved aunt of Pamela M. Philastre, Melissa Marchese-Smith, Sammy Marchese, III, Meeka M. Cheramie, Larry Laughlin, Jackie L. Strader, Scott Laughlin and the late Darlene L. Matherne. Beloved great aunt of Jeffrey, Jason, Courtney, Ethan, Eli, Patrick, Lee, Ryan, Matthew, Amanda, Aiden, Ian, Amber, and Addie. “Sisi” of Reggie Marcotte.
Rosary “Sister” was a Parishioner of St. Joseph Church and a graduate of Redemptorist Girls High School. She was retired from the U.S. Naval Support Activity.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 6th St., Gretna, LA on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Interment, Hook and Ladder Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday from 9 AM until 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
