Rose Simoneaux Ponthieux

Rose S. Ponthieux, age 87, of Terrytown, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025 in her home. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Frank Ponthieux and is survived by her children, Mary Ann Fontenot (Scott), David Ponthieux (Stephanie), William Ponthieux (Nikkie), and Pamela Ponthieux (Erik); four grandchildren, Aidan Ponthieux, Crystal Fontenot (Mark), Joseph Fontenot (Alicia) and Taylor David (Amie); five great-grandchildren, Noah and Mathew Koppe, Lily, Alyla and Michael Fontenot.

She is also survived by her brother, Henry Joseph Simoneaux Jr.

Also preceding her in death is her loving mother and father, Henry and Larochina “Lorena” Arsena Simoneaux Sr. and sister, Evelyn Marie Siemssen.

She retired from Christ the King School in Terrytown, LA after 21 years of dedicated service and was a devout member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Road, Terrytown, LA on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 Noon. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
