Rosemary Fischer Crowder

Rosemary Fischer Crowder entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2024. Beloved companion of Ernest Gibbs. Mother of the late Cheryl Swanson (Franklin). Grandmother of Jason Johnston, Michael Johnston (Lizabeth), and Benjamin Swanson. Great-grandmother of Adalyn, Blair, Mason, and Jackson Johnston, and Spencer Swanson. Daughter of the late Raymond G. Fischer and Magdalena Sottile Fischer. Sister of Virginia Grubb, Rayelynn Canzoneri (Terry), Maggie Zschiedrich (Milton), and Patti Fischer (Laurie). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and her dear friend Elenore Poche.

Rosemary was 83 years old, a native New Orleanian, and resident of Terrytown, LA. Rosie will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and stoic leadership. She will be deeply missed by all. 

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Cletus Catholic Church, Gretna, LA on October 12, 2024. Family and Friends are invited to gather at 10 a.m. with the Memorial Mass starting at 11 a.m. Private Internment. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Team Gleason Foundation and the Jefferson Parish SPCA in Rosie’s name.
