Roy E. Bowers, Jr. age 73 went to be with his Lord on December 8, 2012. Husband of 53 years to Sylvia Ann T. Bowers. Son of the late Roy E. Bowers, Sr. and Elsie L. Bowers. Loving father of Roy A. Bowers (Wife Lisa), Stacey L. Bowers and Shelley B. Duvall (Husband Darrin). Grandfather of Amanda B. Figueredo (Husband Adam), Christian B. Petit (Husband Josh), Roylyn N. Bowers, Landon R. Duvall and Everett Roy Duvall. Great Grandfather of Payton A. Petit and Adalena M. Figueredo. Brother of Lanny, Larry, Shelia, Irene and Sandra. Roy is preceded in death by Louis, Wilhemina, Sharon and JoAnn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He retired from International Marine Terminals after many years of service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 8AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM.
