Roy Alexander Bush

Roy A. Bush passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband of the late Elaine Garatie Bush. Father of Candace Bush Guidry (Michael), Rebecca A. Bush, Cynthia Bush Lyons (Carroll). Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Buren Bush and mother, Marie Noemie Berthelot Bush, who died when Roy was only 2 years old. He was raised by his father and late stepmother, Marie Martha Berthelot Bush. Brother of Marvin, Patrick, and Bernard Bush, Martha Lusignan, Claire Tomlinson, and the late Wilfred, Freda, James, John Bush, Audrey Chauffe, and Frances Michel. Grandfather of Casey Bush Lyons (Kelli), Abby Lyons South (Hunter), and Lindsey Guidry Allen (Brady). Great Grandfather of Colin and Cole Lyons and Brielle Allen. He was a World War II Veteran serving honorably as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army from 1942-1946. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, a carpenter, contractor and loyal Saints Fan. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Gretna, LA on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11am. Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy, Harvey, LA from 8:30am until 10:30am. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
