Royal "Roy" Paul Plaisance

Royal “Roy” Paul Plaisance entered into eternal life on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Connie Brossette Plaisance for 22 years. Father of Vicki Walter, Luke Plaisance (Lynn) and the late Mark Plaisance (Diane). Step Father of Davina Fraser (Paul) and Derrin Basco (Tricia). Grandfather of Brandon “B.J.” and Paul Ellitt, Casey, Lukey, Mandy, Tonya, Barbara, Roy and Lacy Plaisance and Hunter and Wyatt Fraser. Great Grandfather of 13 and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Honorary son to Nora “Maw Beckham” and the late Billy “LB” Beckham. Preceded in death by his parents, Marie Boudreaux and Eddie Plaisance, his brothers, Calvin, Eloe, Eddie and Melvin Plaisance; his sisters, Laura Lee Bailey, Marcella Blanchard, Evelyn Jenkins and Elsie Lynch. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Ditcharo. Roy was a big man with a big heart who loved life and helped many. He loved his family and friends dearly. He was owner of Harvey Auto Wreckers until Hurricane Katrina, and also owner of Fourth Street Auto Wreckers and the Mug Lounge. Special thanks for the many years of care to the staff at Jo Ellen Smith Living Center, especially Station 1, Therapy and Activity and Delisa. Thanks to Canon Hospice for making Roy comfortable in his final days. He will be greatly missed by many. Funeral Services and Interment will be privately held at a later date.
