Ruth Marie Brasset

Ruth Marie Brignac Brasset passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Evans P. Brasset Sr. Mother of Evans P. Brasset Jr. (Barbara), Sharon Marse (Leonard), Ruth B. Melanson (Bobby) and the late Deborah Burkhart (Robert). Daughter of the late Mona and Alexis Brignac, Sr. Sister of the late Alexis Brignac Jr. Grandmother of Shannon Livaudais, Amy Price, Todd Marse, Alan Marse, Paul Burkhart, Abigail Laferte, Melissa Kelt, Bobby Melanson, Jr. and Nicholas Marquette. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the Marrero High School Class of 1939 Valedictorian and an active member of the Marrero/Harvey Senior Center. Age 91 years and a lifelong resident of Harvey, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also parishioners of Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church and members of White Dove Fellowship Church, are invited to attend Funeral Services in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy, Harvey, LA on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 11am. Interment at Hook and Ladder Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 9am until 11 am.
