Ruth Matherne Remy

Ruth Matherne Remy passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday September 24, 2011. Age 86, a resident of Belle Chasse and a native of Lutcher, Louisiana. She is survived by her husband of 63 years John A. Remy, daughter Mariann Remy Germany, sons, Rickey M. Remy and John L. Remy (Kim). Grandmother of David Remy, Christopher N. Germany, Adrienne Remy Clements, Jordan Remy, Elise Remy and Anna Remy. She is the daughter of the late Elice LeGeaux and Emile Matherne. Sister of the late Len, Curtis, Paul, Jess and Jamison Matherne, Loretta M. Simon, Drozina M. Boudreaux, Dorothy M. Kelly and Greta M. Carter. Mrs. Remy was a member of St. Joseph’s Women’s Club, a member of CODIFIL and a retired banker with First National Bank of Jefferson Parish. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 1PM. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 11AM until Funeral time.
