Ruth Kennedy White

Ruth Hannah Kennedy White passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011 at the age of 81. Ruth (affectionately known as Ruthie) was born August 12, 1929 in Quitman, MS to the late Alex and Dollie Kennedy. Beloved mother of Minister Veronica Buckner (Major), Edith Jean Harris, Leona White-Barice (Greg), Charlene Drake, Homer and Ernest White. Sister of Dorothy Haynes (Dr. Joe), Beverly Kennedy, and Yvonne Williams, and the late Rev. Alex Kennedy, Jr., James Kennedy, and Ethan P. Kennedy. Grandmother of Xavier Sean Thornton, Lashonda Deloach, Ashleigh Barice, Kai and Alena Drake. Survived by 4 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, relatives, and friends. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also Dept. of Veterans Affairs of Tampa, FL, Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities-Early Steps, Memorial Hospital of Gulfport, MS, Pass Christian Fire Dept., Triton Systems, Sunbeam Daycare Home of Palo Alto, CA, Wynhoven Healthcare Center, Members of True Vine Baptist Church, Pinkerton Government Services, and Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Gulfport, MS, are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11 AM.
