Sadie Gaudet Plaisance

Sadie Marie Gaudet Plaisance died peacefully in her home on June 8, 2023, surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Mickey J Plaisance Sr; her two children, Mickey Plaisance Jr (Kristal) and Meka Plaisance Toups (Darren) and her three grandchildren, Brice Plaisance, Ally Plaisance and Nathan Toups were the light of her life. Aunt to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Born to the late Alice Gaudet Templet and late Junius Joseph Gaudet. Step daughter to the late Ivy Templet. Long time resident of Harvey, La. She retired from On Path FCU in February after 28 years and 18 years with FNJ and Hibernia. She was the secretary for Harvey Volunteer Fire Department #2 and life active ladies’ auxiliary member for David Crockett Steam Fire Company #1. She is also a charter member of the Louisiana Red Knights Chapter 1. She enjoyed camping and vacationing with her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her Sisters of ‘75.

Visitation will be June 15, 2023 at St. Joseph Church in Gretna from 8:30am to 10:30am. A Funeral Mass will start at 10:30am with a burial at Westlawn Memorial Park immediately following.
