Sallie Wimberly Phillips passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Jack Lynn Phillips. Beloved mother of June Chifici, Julie Henson (Mike), Jackie Waguespack (Jeff), Sally Phillips and the late Margaret Beth Phillips. Grandmother of Andre Chifici (Sahar), Micah Chifici, Callie Bergeron (Brennan), Eliza Henson, Wesley Stone, Hannah Cannon (James), Lynn Ridolfo (Jason), Daniel Waguespack (Sara) and Amy Waguespack. Great grandmother of Tony Chifici, Grace Chifici and Julia Stone. Daughter of the late Sam Wimberly and Omie Bamburg Wimberly. Sister of Ellen Wimberly Miller of Natchez, MS, the late Will (Jackie), the late Wise (Delores), the late O’Quinn, Rod, Catherine, Sam and Infant sister. Sallie will be remembered as a woman who loved the Lord. She leaves a legacy of love and nurture to her family and church. She was well-loved and will be deeply missed. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Oak Park Baptist Church, 1110 Kabel Dr. New Orleans, LA, at 3 PM. Visitation will begin at 1PM until service time. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
