Sally Levasseur Ralicki passed away on February 23, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Born on March 6, 1954, in New Orleans.
Sally lived a life dedicated to education, family and the community. She pursued higher education at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where she earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Her passion for learning translated into a lifelong career in education. Sally recently retired from Jefferson Parish Schools, where she made a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues. She particularly cherished her time at East Jefferson High School, where she found great fulfillment in teaching and mentoring young minds. Family was central to Sally’s life.
She is survived by her son, Brian Thomas Ralicki (Ashley), her sister Susan (Gerald), and her nephews Craig Harris (Danielle), Benjamin Levasseur, and Jeffrey Levasseur (Emily). Additionally, she leaves behind her beloved great- nephews, Hunter and Logan. Sally was preceded in her death by her parents, Luther and Mary Treuil Levasseur, as well as her brothers Carl, Thomas, and Peter Levasseur.
A Funeral Mass will be held in Sally’s honor on March 14, 2025, at our Lady of Perpetual Help in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the service at 12:00 PM. Sally’s dedication to education and family will be remembered by all who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
