Salvador "Sal" DeLorenzo, Jr.

Salvador E. DeLorenzo Jr. was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He passed away at his residence, on June 30, 2023 at the age of 72. 
Sal loved spending time with his family at many traditional gatherings. He worked for Wood Resources, LLC, retiring after 31 years of dedicated service. His love for work was inspirational and noticed by many. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Sal. He had a love for vehicles, motorcycles, and friends. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities. His personality was contagious to everyone he met. He loved his family dearly.
Sal is survived by his wife, Cynthia; daughters, Stacy Trombley (Corey) and Ashley DeLorenzo (Daniel Akers); grandchildren, Devin and Hanna Close, Kaleb and Kailey Trombley, Cameron and Tyce Akers; sister, Pamela Hartman (Hilray); brother, Dominick DeLorenzo (Angel), along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Tracey Close (Ronald); brother, Kent DeLorenzo (Robyn); parents Salvador DeLorenzo Sr. and Lillian Robert DeLorenzo.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 12noon to 4pm. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel.
