Salvador Joseph Palermo, Sr., a retired supervisor with Delta Corporation, passed away on December 20, 2011 at 3:53 PM. Beloved husband of Theresa Blanchard Palermo. Father of Maria P. Terrebonne (Larry), Malissa Palermo, and Salvador Joseph Palermo, Jr. (Michelle). Son of the late Joseph and Angelene Palermo. Brother of Anthony Palermo and the late Rita Cambre. Grandfather of Amanda Porter, Shawn Terrebonne, Lori LaPorte, TJ, Theophile Bourgeois IV, and Nicholas Alexi. Great-grandfather of Angelle and JoshuaRobles, Angelina LaPorte, Theophile Bourgois V, Kristian Terrebonne, and Brody Hijuelos, and the late Korilynn Porter. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Age 72 years, a native of New Orleans, and resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also members of Visitation of Our Lady Church, are invited to attend the funeral visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 6 PM until 10 PM and on Friday, December 23, 2011 from 8 AM until 10:30 AM. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM at Visitation of Our Lady Church, Marrero, LA. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
