Salvador Trentacoste

Salvador Trentacoste passed away on June 12, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Mary Macaluso Trentacoste. Father of Salvador J. Trentacoste (Bonnie), Gerard Trentacoste (Theresa) and Mary Elizabeth Skeen (Brad). Grandfather of Gabriella Trentacoste, Cecilia Skeen and Jude Luke Skeen. Brother of Sarah T. Pizzo, the late Joseph, August and Anthony Trentacoste. Son of the late Maria Demma Trentacoste and Nunzio Trentacoste.
Sal served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in the Pacific Theater. He was a skilled cobbler who owned and operated Lower Coast Shoe Repair in Algiers and later, A & A Shoe Repair in Harvey. He and his beloved wife Mary, were longtime volunteers for the St. Joseph Altar at St. Joseph Church in Gretna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1139 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. (formerly Dryades St.) at Calliope St., New Orleans on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Metairie Cemetery. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
