Salvadore Gendusa II passed away on December 29,2014. Beloved husband of June Darline Collier Gendusa for 49 years. Son of the late Gertrude May Beck Gendusa and Anthony Joseph Gendusa Sr. He was born and raised in Algiers. He was a resident of Gretna for the past 48 years. Father of Tonya Gendusa Delaune (Kevin), Salvadore Gendusa III (Christy), Carol Anne Gendusa Kocian (the late Walter). Grandfather of Patrick, Paxton, and Payton Delaune; Salvadore Gendusa IV; Natalie, Lynette, Cecilia, Katrinia, Zachery, Colton Kocian. Brother of Mary Barbara Gendusa Yokum, Anthony Joseph Gendusa Jr. (Lisette), Gertrude May Gendusa, and the late Mary Louise Gendusa Morrison. Great-Grandfather of Taylor, Dani, Stetson, Eli, Jackson, and Axl. Nephews and nieces: Jeffrey Yokum, Kristin Yokum Cooper (Richard), Anne Gendusa, the late Anthony Gendusa III, and many other loving relatives. He sang in several Operettas with the New Orleans Metropolitan Opera. He served in the United States Marines, United States Air Force, and Louisiana Air Na- tional Guard and was a jet aircraft mechanic. He was a 2nd Degree Brown Belt in Judo was a 32nd Degree Mason from the Marrero Lodge. Throughout the years, he received several awards and accommodations. He received accolades from the West Bank Guide for his self made garden. He was an active member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Harvey, Louisiana and The Church of Abundant Life in Harvey, Louisiana. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass in the parlor of Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St., Algiers on Wednesday, Jan.
7 at 1:30 pm. Interment in St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Algiers. Parlors will be open on Tuesday, Jan. 6 from 6 pm until 9 pm and Wednesday from
11 am until mass time at 1:30 pm. Friends and family may view and sign the online guestbook at www.mothefunerals . com.
