Sandra Glancey Shine passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of Maurice Joseph Shine, Sr. Captain United States Navy Retired, for 55 years. Daughter of the late James and Mary Glancey. Mother of Lisa Shine Johnsen(Eric), Dirreen Shine Arnold (Mark) and Kerry Elizabeth Shine, and Maurice Joseph Shine, Jr. Grandmother of Laura Johnsen Myers, Eric Henry Johnsen, Jr., Adam Joseph Johnsen, Mary-Kathryn Johnsen, Valerie Elizabeth, Brigid Mary, Erin Marie and Vincent Anthony Arnold. Great grandmother of 6 great grand children. Sister of Judge James E. Glancey, Jr. (Betty), and Ronald L. Glancey (Sylvia). A member of the Algiers Irish Association, Women’s Railroad Auxillary, Socialettes of McDonoghville and Theta Rho Sorority. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 924 Monroe St. Gretna,LA on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1PM. Visitation at St. Anthony Church on Saturday from 10:30AM until 1PM. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers Masses are preferred.
