Shelley Treadway Ortis

Shelley Treadway Ortis earned her wings to heaven on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the age of 56. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Elbridge “Bull” Treadway and Gloria Liebert Treadway. She is survived by her husband and best friend, James Kenneth ” Ken” Ortis, Sr. She was the devoted mother of Charel F. Baldassaro (Octavio, Jr.), Angela F. Williams (Christopher), Jerome “Jay” A. Frisella, III, and Kristie F. Cooper (Darin). Loving “Gigi” to Vanessa and Jenna Baldassaro, Delilah and Khloe Williams and Gavin Cooper. She was a special stepmother to Jerrilynn O. Partin (Leroy), Laura O. Jarreau (Mark) and James “Jim” Kenneth Ortis, Jr. (Janet). She was the caring step-grandmother of David Jenkins, Amanda Larkin (Gary), Bret and Andrew “Drew” Jarreau, Mariah and Logan Ortis, Chloe Larkin and Avery Jarreau. Age, 56 years. Mrs. Ortis was born in Port Sulphur and spent the past 45 years in Belle Chasse. She enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandkids. She will always be remembered by the way she would yell at the TV during the Saints and LSU games. She will be sadly missed by all but never forgotten.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 2 PM. Interment will be private. Parlors will be open Friday from 11 AM until 2 PM.
