Shirley Tassin Keller

Shirley Tassin Keller, a cherished soul who touched the hearts of many, passed away on April 29, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born on February 5, 1934, in Napoleonville, LA.

She is survived by her children Cynthia Keller Hymel (Norman), Bo Keller (Penny), Kevin Keller (Barbara), and Desiree Keller (Glen Lawson); and her brother Lucien Tassin, Jr. (Pat). Shirley was a devoted grandmother to 10 grandchildren, a loving great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren, and a cherished great-great-grandmother to 10.

Shirley is now reunited with her beloved husband Alfred S. Keller, Sr. in eternal peace. She is also preceded in death by her parents Lucien Tassin, Sr. and Ethel Breaux Tassin; her sisters Yvonne Cortez, Betty Calcagno, Rosemary Hebert, and Jeannette Mabry.

Shirley was a proud member of the Cruisin' Cajun RV Club and found joy in exploring the open road with loved ones.

In every laughter shared and every memory made, Shirley's light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, Shirley Tassin Keller.

Shirley's life will be celebrated at the Harvey - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC in Harvey, LA. Visitation will be held on May 6, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. The interment will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park in Terrytown at 1:00 PM.
