Shirley Thomas Mcbride

Shirley Thomas McBride passed away at home, surrounded by family, on Friday, June 5, 2015. She was 79 years old. Shirley was born in Baldwin, LA to the late McKinley and Mildred Druilhet Thomas. For over 50 years, she resided in New Orleans. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin Johnson and stepdaughter, Debra McBride Lewis. She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her husband, Alvin McBride, Sr., daughters Alvina and Candy McBride, Tanya McBride Green, Sandra Willis, and Cynthia Johnson; step-daughters Genesia McGowan, Andrea Norwood, Sheryl McBride and Rhonda Whitmore; sons Alvin McBride, Jr., Glen and Barry Johnson and step-son Frank Stallings; her sister, Linda Thomas Gibson and brother, Teddy Mack Thomas, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service in the parlor of Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA, on June 13, 2015 at 11 AM.
