Shirley Wallace Patterson

Shirley Wallace Patterson entered into Heaven’s Gates on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the age of 89.  Beloved wife of the late Rudolph Patterson.  Daughter of the late Elbert Wallace and Myrtle Ellenburg Wallace.  Loving and devoted mother of William Michael Patterson (Marsha), David Wayne Patterson (Dawn), James Allen Patterson (Connie), Melinda Patterson Bergeron (L.B., Jr.) and Terrie Patterson Jones (Dwain).  Grandmother of Taylor Jones Sanders (Jesse), Maci Alyse Jones, Lisa Patterson Champagne (Chad), Clint Michael Patterson (Dana), Colson Lee Mackey, Chad Ryne Labasse (Tiffany), James Tyler Patterson (Hannah) and Brett Harold Patterson.  Great Grandmother of Dylan Michael Patterson, Tristen James Patterson, Brady Allen Sanders, Walker James Patterson and Mackenzie Rae Sanders.  Shirley is preceded in death by her grandson, Cody Allen Mackey as well as her brothers and sisters, Louise Wallace Porter, Grady Wallace, Curtis Wallace, Carson Wallace, Terry Wallace, Jack Wallace, her twin sisters, Mabel Wallace White and Melba Wallace MacIntosh, Virginia Wallace Davis, Jeanette Wallace Sare and Donald Wallace.  Shirley is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews and many friends.  The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Guardian Angels Hospice, especially Allene McCann, RN and the nurses and staff of Ochsner Home Health for the loving care given to their mom.  Shirley was born in El Dorado, Arkansas and was a resident of Luling. She was an avid golfer and gardener who loved cooking, sewing, and spending time with her many friends and family.  Shirley was a long term member of First Baptist Church of Luling where friends and family are invited to attend a visitation Monday, August 14, 2023 from 10AM until 11AM.  Funeral Services will be held at the Church on Monday at 11AM.  Internment will be in St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling, Louisiana.  MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family during this very difficult time.  Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
