Shirley R. Rome

Shirley P. Rome entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Victor John Rome, III. Daughter of the late Jesse Plaisance and Louise Touchard Plaisance. Mother of Lyn Rome Harvey, Gail Rome Domingue (Ronnie), Larry J. Rome (Mona), Victor J. Rome IV (Marilyn) and Christine R. Darda (Clem). Survived by 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Sister of Pearl Berthelot, Myrtle Fisher, Joan Perrin and the late Freddie Plaisance, Richard Plaisance, Earl Plaisance, Dewey Plaisance and Jessie Plaisance. Shirley was a lifelong resident of Lafitte and Crown Point. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11AM.
