Shirley V. Toner

Shirley V. Toner, age 78 entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 30, 2013. Wife of the late Lawrence “Larry” Toner. Daughter of the late Otto and Olive Veazey. Loving and devoted mother of Laura Anderson (Robby), Cynthia Ocmand (Gill), Kathleen Peltier (Daryl) and Larry Toner, Jr. (Kim). Sister of the late Walter Veazey and Effie Pontiff. Shirley is survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She retired from AT&T after 25 years of service. She was an avid tennis player and she belonged to the Mahjong Club. Shirley was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 8:30AM until 11:30AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:30AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
