Shirley Mae Sevin Zito April 4, 1932 ~ June 5, 2011 Shirley Mae Sevin Zito of Marrero, LA passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 7:30 AM. She was 79 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Joaquin J. Zito, Sr. Daughter of the late Eunice Rodrigue Sevin and Lawrence P. Sevin, Sr. Mother of Joaquin J. Zito, Jr. (wife Marilyn) of Belle Chasse, LA and Brian Chris Zito (wife Henrietta) of Grand Isle, LA. Sister of Rosemary J. Hakenjos, Dolores Ditcharo, the late Catherine Sevin Barrilleaux and Lawrence P. “Bozo” Sevin, Jr. Also survived by two grandchildren, Stacie Zito Hicks (husband Joey), Kristie Zito Gittings (husband Richard), five great-grandchildren, Darion and Cameron Gros, Brandon, Lauren and Bryan Hicks along with numerous neices, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a very loving person and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Gates of Heaven Mausoleum. Visitation will take place at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday from 6 PM to 10 PM and Thursday from 9 AM to 10:30 AM.
