Sidney J. Cancienne

Sidney J. Cancienne passed away on July 1, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Marie Dantin Cancienne. Father of Celeste C. Mille and her husband John. Son of the late Uran Cancienne and Bertha Percle Cancienne. Grandfather of Benjamin Ladouceur, Matthew Ladouceur and his wife Jeryn, Nacy Mille and Heidi Weber and her husband Kevin. Great-grandfather of Riley, Austin, Brycen, Collin and Hudson. Brother of the late Estelle Dubois, Claude Gros, Sr., Lessie Tabor, Gladys Huddleston and Mae Becnel.
Sidney served his country in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during the Korean War. He belonged to the 836th Signal Radio Relay Company. He later graduated from Tulane University with a BS in Accounting and was a member of the Banter Fraternity. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the Staff of Wynhoven Health Care Center and Staff of Notre Dame Hospice for their love and care given to Sidney.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
