Simone Joseph Dalsan passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the age of 76. She was known for her vibrant spirit and warm heart. She lived life to the fullest and cherished every moment shared with her loved ones. She was born in the beautiful island of St. Lucia, West Indies to Madeleine Percin and the late Lennox William. Simone is affectionately known by friends and family as “Judica” or “Juca”. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John Dalsan. From their beautiful marriage, the couple birthed two children into this world. She is a loving and devoted mother to her 2 children, Jan Beverly Dalsan-Jn Pierre (Cyprian) and Wayne Dalsan, Sr. She took immense pride in nurturing and raising them with love, kindness, and strength. Simone is a grandmother of Wayne Dalsan, Jr., DaiJohn Gustave, and DaiAjani Gustave, who are the light of her life. She is also the great- grandmother of Uzziah Dalsan Augustine; sister of Thomas Joseph (Sabina) and Norrens Joseph (the late Emmeline), Fabian Joseph (Sylvia), Joan Celestin (Austin), Justin Percin, Nicholas Percin (Theresa), Joycelyn Percin, Janette Percin and the late Emmanuel (Survived by Benadette) Joseph; and sister-in-law to Marie Dalsan-Fevriere, and Gerrard Dalsan. Her kindness and gentle spirit made her a magnet for her niece and nephews Augustin Chitolie, Hermain Joseph, Lex Joseph, Truddy Joseph, and the late Rod and Shem Joseph that she loved as her own. Aunt of Kem Joseph, Jean Claude Joseph, Kevin Celestin, Shiline Batiste, Ellen Richards, Caran Joseph, Alexandria Celestin and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 1:30 pm with visitation from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana 70056.
