Stephen J. Rigaud, Sr.

November 25, 1925 — December 12, 2015

Stephen “Steve” Joseph Rigaud, Sr., a Veteran of the United States Navy who proudly served in World War II passed away on December 12, 2015 at the age of 90. He was the beloved husband of 49 years to the late Anna Kurz Rigaud. A devoted father and father-in-law to Stephen Jr. (Wanda), Eugene (Elizabeth), Arthur Sr. (Margaret) and Donald (Mary). Son of the late Leo Rigaud Jr. and Roberta Macaluso Rigaud. Brother of the late Anthony “Tony” Rigaud. He is also survived by and truly blessed by his sister-in-law, Patricia Rigaud. Proud Grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Stephen was born in Harvey, LA; he was a native of New Orleans and a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 37 years and a resident of Marrero, LA. He was employed for 51 years at Gulf States Optical. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and treasured by his family. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in St. Roch #2 Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
