Steven Bryant Acy

Steven Bryant “Stevie” Acy, Sr. passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011 at University Hospital at the age of 51. Born July 21, 1959 in New Orleans, LA and grew up in Terrytown, LA. Former husband of Liz Acy. Beloved son of Allen Lee Acy, Sr. and Peggy McGinty Acy. Father of Steven Bryant Acy, Jr. Brother of Allen Lee Acy, Jr. and Shawn Landry Dufrene. Brother-in-law of Jolene J. Acy and Duane A. Dufrene. Survived by 6 nephews and 7 nieces, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mr. Acy is the grandson of the late Joseph Lee Acy, Hilda Songy Acy, George Preston McGinty, and Fay Quinlan McGinty. Former son-in-law of the late Howard and Theresa Wilcox. Resided in Belle Chasse, LA until 2005 and currently resided in Terrytown, LA. Mr. Acy was an employee of Plaquemines Parish Heavy Equipment and welder for many years. Stevie Acy was much loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and former friends and co-workers. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 1 PM. Interment Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse, LA. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9 AM until 1 PM.
