Steven "Coach" Volo

Steven “Coach” Alec Volo, a beloved Yankee Fan, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 8, 2012 at the age of 63. Beloved and loving husband of Barbara Volo for the past 37 years. Son of the late Aaron “Harry” and Pauline Volo. Father of Jason Volo and Ryan Volo. Brother in law of Sandra and Wiley Graham, Alden and Bobbie Arnold and the late Patricia Johnson. “Coach” was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. He was a teacher and coach at Aurora Gardens Academy in Algiers for many years and Lusher Charter School in New Orleans for the past 19 years. He was not only a dedicated father, husband and friend; he was a beloved coach, teacher and inspiration to all the students. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 8AM until 10:30AM. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA on Monday.
