Suncana Garbin Popich

Suncana Garbin Popich, a native of Osobljava, Croatia, a longtime and proud resident of Empire,
Louisiana and more recently Gretna, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the
age of 67 with her sons by her side. Beloved wife of the late Nedjeljko Popich. Beloved daughter of the
late Kate Tomelic Garbin and the late Jakov Garbin. Sister of Vatroslav Garbin (Valerie) and
Marija Garbin Golubovic (Miroslav). Loving mother of Robert Popich (Ashley) and Nedo Popich. Also survived by grandson, Robert Luka Popich, step-grandchildren, Gracie and Sadie Ladek, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Popich was a homemaker, who was extremely proud of her sons and their
accomplishments. She loved to talk to her family and friends throughout the world on the telephone
and she loved her pets. She will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service in the parlor of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100, Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Thursday,, April 20, 2023, at 11 AM. Interment. Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time.
