Susan "Sue" Hilliard Nelson

Susan “Sue” Hilliard Nelson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the age of 78.   Beloved wife of the late Michael K. Nelson.  Daughter of the late Paul Hilliard and Norinne Elliott Hilliard.  Loving mother of Ann Nelson McGuire (Chad) and Paul Nelson (Katie). Devoted Grandmother of Kanin Nelson, Hunter Batt, Kiel Nelson, Mikey McGuire and Blaze McGuire.  Beloved sister of the late Marie McDougal and Paula Harvey.  Loving Aunt of Karen Bowen and Katie Thompson.  Sue was born in Saratoga, Wyoming and was a resident of Luling, Louisiana since 1991.  She taught preschool at Holy Family Preschool for many years.  She grew up on the family ranch in Wyoming.  At a young age, she was driving tractors in the hayfield working close with her father and she also loved riding horses.  Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 beginning at 10AM until 1PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1PM.   Interment will follow in St. Charles Mausoleum, 1279 Paul Maillard Road, Luling, Louisiana.  The family invites you to share thoughts, fond memories and condolences online at www.mothefunerals.com.
