Susan Shackleford

 Susan Murray Shackleford was born March 16th, 1971 and passed away on June 9th, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones at her family home in Metairie, Louisiana.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Charlyne Boone and George Nabors Shackleford, her sister, Jan Ritchie, brothers George and Charlie Shackleford.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Crawley, sister, Martha Shackleford, niece, Lauren Tucker and nephews Mason Tucker and Drew Tucker all of Metairie, Louisiana.

Susan graduated Lutheran High School in 1989. She was also a graduate of Meridian Community College and was a long time employee of Lauderdale County, Mississippi. 

Susan was most at home when working in her yard. She lovingly tended her plants and took great pleasure in observing all the creatures who shared her space. In recent months, Susan often enjoyed spending time in her family's backyard enjoying her sister's beautiful flowers. She adored her family and friends and cherished spending time with them. 

A celebration of life for Susan will be at her family home, 4712 James Drive, Metairie, Louisiana, 70003 on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 starting at three o'clock in the afternoon and proceeding on into the evening. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
