Sylvia W. Tuscano

Sylvia W. Toscano passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the age of 80. Sylvia was born in New Orleans, La on June 22, 1942, to the late Homer and Mary Wyres.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Mary Toscano Duhe (Darren), Gary Toscano (Denise), and Theresa Toscano Fevola; her grandchildren, Brittany (Steve), Maria, Nicholas (Sabrina), Kevin (Lindsey), Celeste, Garrett (Tiffany), Travis (Caitlyn), and Michael; her great grandchildren and her sister, Shirley Boudreaux. Sylvia is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family

She is preceded in death by her adoring husband of over 33 years, Louis Toscano, as well as her son, Daniel Toscano. Sylvia is also preceded in death by her parents, Homer Wyres and Mary Roberts Wyres; her siblings, Seaman Wyres, Herman Wyres, Raymond Wyres, John Wyres, Bonnie, Mahle, Frances Van Gordor, and Jean Donavan.

Sylvia enjoyed reading and playing Bingo. She especially loved to spend her spare time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, beginning at 1pm at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La, 70058.
