Sylvia Unangst Winters

Sylvia Unangst Winters passed away on June 3, 2013 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Ellis F. Winters. Mother of JoAnn Gray, Patricia W. Smith, Robert and Joey Winters. Mother-in-law of Houston Neal Gray, P. Michael Smith and Jennifer Murphy Winters. Grandmother of Gwen Cousins, Becky Neeb Valentino, Chris Brown, Savannah Gray, Ciera Gray, Angelis Gray and Jimmy Brown. Loving sister of Jane Marchese, the late Alice Brown, Florence Barclay, Royal, Harold, Alfred and Albert Unangst. Daughter of the late Helene Von Iderstine Unangst and Royal Levi Unangst. Also survived by her friend and caregiver, Sheila King.

Sylvia retired as a receptionist with the Jefferson Parish Council after 24 years of service, was a longtime resident of Stafford Street in Gretna and most recently lived in Algiers with her loving family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, LA on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 10AM to 1 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow.
