Tate Lucien Lefort Sr.

Tate Lucien Lefort Sr. passed away unexpectedly in his home on August 22, 2015 at the age of 53. Beloved son of the late Logan Lucien Lefort and Linda Rodrigue Lefort. Tate graduated from Archbishop Shaw in 1980. He worked at Avondale Shipyards for over 20 years. He later owned and operated The Pickin Box Seafood business in Westwego. Tate is survived by his devoted wife Yvette Dorsey Lefort of 22 years, and their two children Tate Jr and Rebecca. He is further survived by his step-daughter Jessica Dorsey, sister Monique Lefort-Nguyen (Khanh) of Las Vegas, and two nephews, Zachary and Blake. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10AM. A Catholic service will take place in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home at 1PM. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego, LA.
